While the bishops of Ireland officially decided that the "yes" vote was ok, and in this decision, allowed more or less the abortion issue to come to Ireland, and the Godless treaty being "ok" for the irish bishops, the irish bishops made a political statement. The Catholic Church, via the view of the bishops, decided that a yes vote is ok. While they were completely mute regarding the first vote, they made a point on the second referundum. Same as the swine flu, the irish bishops are more concerned about a "yes" vote or transmission of the "swine flu" in the communion, than the proper application of the will of the Pope, their chief, in the motu proprio regarding the latin mass.

May I say that Guiilaume's comment ont he bishops here is most unjust. If he thinks the Treaty will bring abortion to Ireland, he should explain how it will do so, rather than simply assuming this is the case and denouncing the bishops for disagreeing.

Will the moderator kindly crack down on this infantilism and let us get back to serious discussion?

The Member for Babylon wants an explanation - here it is:
Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
