I want to thank Michael G for all his efforts in establishing this forum, for which there is a real need. I also want to welcome our new moderator and wish him every success.
I submitted a Letter to the Irish Times. It may not be published, but I hope it will be.
Madam, - Sean O'Conaill (September 20th) deplores the lack of a Catholic Church forum. However a forum does exist, the Irish Catholics' Forum (http://irishcatholics.proboards56.com/index.cgi). This forum is primarily a Catholic one in which issues of interest to Irish Catholics can be fruitfully discussed. New forum members are welcome. Yours, etc,

Noel, I wish to thank you for your kind words towards both Michael and myself. I would also like to compliment you on sending in the letter to the Irish Times. I will be reading the letters page avidly in next few days in search of your letter, and finally as moderater I would like to thank you for publicising and promoting the Irish Catholics Forum through your letter. In Nomine Christi, CPM

Noel, I found the following article written by Sean O'Conaill which appears to deride the Magisterium in favor of secular opinion. Am I reading too much into this article? No, you certainly are not. It will be interesting to see whether they publish Noel's letter. The Irish Catholic newspaper initially accepted but then refused a paid advertisement for this forum, probably because our name might suggest that we had something to do with them (though they never actually gave me a reason).
