yeahhhhhh. Lourdes had became a massive disco with a priest as a DJ as you see on this video. Coool, Ireland, the island of "saints and scholars" can rest in peace, we have no saint or no scholar any more. But Irish dancing to celebrate !

Thanks Guillaume for this video of joyous praise. Ireland may have no saints or scholars left but we can still dance and sing in praise of God just as Miriam celebrated the deliverance of the children of Israel from Egypt in dances as well as songs, Ex 15:20, and David danced before the ark, 2 Sa 6:14.

Whatever. Quoting some events which happened ages ago is a fact. But I am quoting some events happening now and near. Surely the Irish has many occasion to celebrate so far : the recession, the material recession, the spiritual recession,... leaving the country in the state it is and the church. Above all with the church. Our Lord said "how come a blind could lead a blind" ? The problem of the church in Ireland, including the trad, is that the church is blind.

It is always a good time to praise God, guillaume, and that is what is happening in your video. Three cheers for the Irish for praising in the difficult circumstances outlined by guillaume!

To be honest, guillaume, I think you are making too much of this one. Whatever we may think of this particular celebration, which seems fairly harmless, it's never wrong to celebrate the triumph of God. We should never let ourselves be sucked into thinking that because o recent horrors and disasters, all is lost - that's despair, which is a sin against the Holy Ghost. (Pretending they never happened, OTOH, would be presumption...)
