At St. Peter and paul's in Cork City today. about 50 people there - dialogue Mass. Used the Asperges opening instead of INTROIBO. a very good sermon on the significance of Septuagesima Sunday as the first lead-in towards Easter, and the fear of death and the triumph over death - moved from various killings in the news recently to expound on the evil of abortion. Very well done.

I was at St. Peter and Paul's again on Sunday last. Slightly fewer present, perhaps 40-50. (This was just impressionistic, I didn't do a headcount and it may have been more crowded at the back of the church.) A good sermon on St. Paul. The priest announced that there will be a daily EF/TLM at St. Peter and Paul's at 6 p.m throughout Lent - a good sign IMHO.

Anyone in the Cork area, don't forget: TLM/EF every evening at 6 pm in St. Peter and Paul's off Patrick Street, Cork, during Lent. This information should be corrected to read that Mas is available in Sts Peter and Paul's in the EF during Lent at 6pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays during lent, Mass will be available in the EF at St. peter and Paul's at 10am.

About 50 at St. Peter and Paul's last Sunday (Low Sunday/Divine Mercy Sunday). Very good sermon on the Gospel of the Day (Doubting Thomas) drawing on his own experinece of bereavement to talk of the shock and promise of the Resurrection, and reminding us that the Church has come through so many scandals and horros before when humanly speaking all seemed lost, because Jesus is with us.

About 50 at the Sunday Mass on 22 November - not a dialogue mass but very clearly spoken and a good sermon on the Gospel of the day and the end of time.

EF Mass takes place in Ss Peter & Paul's every day from Monday to Friday at 5.30 pm. So EF Mass takes place almost every day in Cork City now - Mon to Friday; Sunday; Holy Days of Obligation in Ss Peter's & Paul's and First Saturdays in the Franciscans.

The EF mass appears to have moved to the Church of the Holy Rosary near Sunday's Well from what I have heard. Mea culpa, that's the SSPX chapel. It's interesting that the open-top city tour I was on claimed that it was the only church in Cork which offered a weekly EF Mass. What about St. Peter and Paul's just off St. Patrick's Street? Has that stopped?
