I am sad to hear of Father Brady's frailty - as you know it is unclear what will happen in Wexford if Father's health takes a turn for the worse.
But we might congratulate him on reaching 90. However, An tAthair Proinnsias Ó Fionnagáin SJ may go 10 better - this week he will, DV, reach the age of 100.

I should have an answer about a TLM-MP mass in Wexford town, pretty soon.

Fr Brady told his congregation at Mass last Sunday week that his property in Wexford would go to a trust associated with the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter. Exactly what that means in terms of the FSSP providing Mass in Wexford, we do not yet know.

Guillaume, I may be wrong but as I understand the Motu Proprio, it is to the parish priest of Wexford, Fr Fegan, that you should be addressing a request for Mass in the Extraordinary Form in the parish of Wexford — not to Bishop Brennan or the diocese.

Yes, Michael you're quite correct, the request should first be brought to the local parish priest.

I think that it is also important to post a formal letter of request. I know that in the case of Kilkenny a Latin Mass Group was fairly recently formed and it is that group which are petitioning for a Latin Mass on a regular basis. The group in Kilkenny numbers about 8 and is growing.

Guillaume, I may be wrong but as I understand the Motu Proprio, it is to the parish priest of Wexford, Fr Fegan, that you should be addressing a request for Mass in the Extraordinary Form in the parish of Wexford — not to Bishop Brennan or the diocese. Yes I know. This is by the way the major difference with the MP of 1988 and the one of 2007. We do not need approbation of p of Bishops. However, I did not asked for the Bp to organize a TLM but asked Him to lead me to a "proper" priest or a priest willing to celebrate. According to a letter I had read, we already have a stable group of 40 peoples. However, in the case of the SPP would take over Coolcot, and organize a TLM there, on a regular basis, I wonder if two TLM would be necessary in Wexford. Personally, I definitely prefer a priest of the SPP to celebrate, than a diocesan priest. SPP had dedicated their entire liturgy to the TLM Only. Even if Coolcot won't be recognized as a proper parish (as little or none ED has a parish), but personally i couldn't give.... a d....n

I would like to see an FSSP presence in Ireland and the chapel in Coolcots is a much more promising venture than their current undertaking in Newbridge.
However, the FSSP will not undertake a public ministry there without the Bishop's approval - an altogether different matter than just the organisation of the traditional Mass. It's the same case for any other religious order coming into the diocese.
With regard to petitioning for the MP, fine. But it might do some more good to write to the Bishop asking can he do anything re: Father Brady's status giving his advancing years - that is an issue the diocese have constantly tried to dodge, to their shame.

Is the FSSP gig in Newbridge going badly?

I notice that on the "private mass" listings of the LMSI website, Father's Brady mass is not listed anymore. Can Michael G give us an update. Thanks. G

I hear Father Brady is very ill and that the Coolcots Masses are indefinitely discontinued. Anymore progress, other than on the rumour mill.

I did ask Bishop Brenan, once again, to lead me to a priest. No answer. I am walking on eggs here, as i do not know really the priests of this diocese, especially in Wexford town. I do think that in the last resort i will send a formal letter to Ecclesia Dei commission in the Vatican regarding this issue. They promised to provide a TLM and a priest in every diocese. I will tell them that Bishop hadn't be responding to the request.
Maybe should i pray a "milllion" chaplets.... sound being very effective according to Bishop fellay ! ;D

Is there any opening in other parts of the diocese - New Ross, Gorey or Enniscorthy for example?
How about the town of Ferns?
