I will never understand why people would believe in a self proclaimed visionary who wishes to remain anonymous. For someone to remain anonymous is not being truthful or transparent and God is truth after all.

Very true. The fact that she declares that rejecting the appraition is a mortal sin is also very suspect indeed.

I hadn't gone to confession or church for about 35 years. I stumbled on to thewarningsecondcoming.com , it woke me up quite a bit. Israel has been reestablished, and we are told in the bible to start looking for the signs. Well I think there are some signs. We are also taught to questions profits, and if what they say does not come to pass, then the are false profits. I got to say these messages inspired me to get back into the church and go to confession. They seem real to me. But, I am really a lowly sinner with no real ability of discernment. However, the Pharisees of old didn't see that it was the messiah and they actually met him. There is a lot of wisdom in the messages. What is Maria's motivation? Book sales, fame? I believe her. I am going to monitor the situation and if her predictions come to pass, I know I will be on Jesus side

Maria Divine mercy is quoted in Kelly Bowring's new book, "The Great Battle Has Begun". I found it on Amazon for Kindle last night. I had never heard of her, which is how I ended up joining here after searching the net. I can understand how someone might not want to go public with their messages, but wish that there was more information about her.

I would be willing to speculate she could well be Christina Gallagher of "house of prayer" fame and fortune. A new anonymous gig like 'maria-divine-mercy' would suit her down to the ground , and she'd be a dab hand at it as well. Her old gig is well exposed at this stage.

I am shocked and dismayed that many close relations who pray the Rosary and are daily communicants have fallen for the messages of MDM. There is no quoting scripture or citing the Catholic catechism which will convince them to test the spirits. Suffice to pray to the Holy Spirit and they think they have been convicted in the truth of this soi-disant seer. On no evidence or proof whatsoever they claim Pope Francis is a Freemason. Moreover, because Jesus has said it through the unidentified source of MDM they refuse to acknowledge him as none other than a pretender and a usurper of the legitimate pope Benedict XVI. All I can tell these devotees is that I am remaining on the barque of Peter. It is foolishness to jump ship to seek refuge in the dinghy of MDM. Kindly pray for all the innocents who are so easily misled and please someone out there must unmask this impostor. Pastors and bishops worldwide need to alert their flock that MDM is leading our Church into a new schism. These duped Catholics do not realize what danger they are in. These groups are propagating in Canada now.

MAtthew Chapter 24 applies, I think:
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. ... 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Exactly, we have been forewarned of false prophets. Here is another message from Marie of Divine Mercy. “Those who follow the beast and the false prophet will be given insight, by the Power of My Hand, in order to bring them back into the Heart of My Son. If they reject this Gift, then they are lost and will suffer the same torment, which faces the imposter who will be cast into the abyss for eternity.” Your Beloved Father, God the Most High to MDM, March 12, 2013
The false prophet, according to MDM, is Pope Francis. All faithful Catholics who follow this pope will suffer damnation. This is far removed from Sacred Scripture and the continued teaching of the Catholic faith. To suggest anyone who is not following MDM is not in the ‘heart of Jesus’ is trespassing boundaries of justice. God the Father, has not abandoned over one billion Catholics worldwide to privilege only the few who have access to the Internet and believe in this anonymous seer and self proclaimed prophet. No one can verify she is even Catholic, let alone one who speaks with the authority of God the Father. This is not the way God works and this is not the voice of the true Shepherd.

Conformity and attachment to holy Scripture and to the Church. On this subject Saint Teresa says in her Life (chapters 25, 26,32): "I am ready to endure a thousand deaths in order to defend one single article of the Credo; A favour can only be considered as coming from God as long as it is in conformity with holy Scripture. If it departs from it in the slightest, I would be led to see in it a trap of the devil... I do not regard a revelation as true unless it is in no way contrary to holy Scripture and to the laws of the Church which we are obliged to follow".

Has anyone seen the article, "A Closer Look at the False Prophecies of Maria Divine Mercy"? it is a well written article by Dr. Mark Miravalle at the New Advent.org website. It is interesting to note he mentions the renowned French Mariologist, Fr. Rene Laurentin who met another infamous seer and "prophet", Debra Geileskey of the Magnificat Meal Movement MMM. He did not believe she was genuine by the way. Yes, Geileskey, is Australian but she has a personal secretary who is Irish and enjoyed a lot of Irish support until she started teaching the Novus Ordo Mass was not valid. She used to propagate her messages through the Internet just as MDM does today.
I have been reading the writings of a former follower of Debra Geileskey, Maggs "An End Time Tragedy." The parallels with Maria Divine Mercy are astounding in their tone, style, theology and language. Has anyone else noticed remarkable similarities? I'll make a single salient point that jumped out to my attention: Debra Geileskey was influenced, at one time, by Seventh Day Adventists. Maria Divine Mercy sounds more Seventh Day Adventist than Catholic so far is her theology removed from the deposit of faith. The devotions she promotes, like the Adoration and praying the rosary and chaplet of Divine Mercy, all seem like window dressing to attract unwary souls who fail to discern and test the spirits.

MDM has a vast amount of followers and from what I can tell a lot of them are fairly good devout people and it is impossible to communicate to them the danger of what they are promoting.
I posted the following on the YouTube page of one of MDM followers and he appears to be very well educated on his Catholic faith and he is actually promoting the messages as fact;
“We need to be careful here as the world is now crowded with locutions and I have to say I'm surprised to see that you have a framed 'seal' hanging high above everything else(Divine Chaplet, Rosary etc) by an unknown lady with a unknown spiritual adviser(to my little knowledge anyway) with a web site having credit card options..... Angelic experiences/healings can come from both light and dark. Thus the Church is very specific in determining beyond doubt that such events are truly of a Divine nature. Condemning the seat of St.Peter by its very nature strikes the heart of the Catholic Church and is not to be taken lightly and must alert one to serious caution. This has enormous responsibility & we are warned”.
They are so hardened in their conviction, it is almost impossible to reason with them...nor do they even participate in reasonable debate. I tried my best to tell these people to be careful and at the same time not condemn but when they started referring to the new Pope as the imposter, false prophet etc., I’m afraid I could not understand how these knowledgeable R.C.’s do not realise they are part of a schism condemning their own Church leader without any authority. In spite of all their good intentions they have no idea of the damage they are participating in.
It also amazing also how many R.C.’s are duped by Protestant end times videos and theories all over the internet?!?
I heard a Priest the weekend saying a lot of private revelations will receive 80% of the truth promoting all the good aspects of the faith and the remaining 20% is enough to cause the damage.
