This started out as a forum intended mainly for Catholics attached to the Traditional Latin Mass but it was never meant to be only for them. You reflect a point of view that is under-represented. I think you could add a lot. Please consider posting again. Best wishes Michael G Hey Michael, good work on the forum. I have seen you post here and elsewhere on the forum that you wish to broaden the membership beyond tradional Mass Catholics (apologies if they isn't the most accurate description) and atheists. I don't wish to be too critical in my third post, but I think that the structuring of the forums is quite limited and as such directions conversations to a number of areas. I mean out of the six forums for Catholics three of them are on Traditional Mass topics. I would have thought "Vatican II was it just a phase" would be a good discussion topic but not a good topic for a whole forum. And yet there are many other topics that I think would make good forum titles. Of the top of my head I might suggest; "Scripture", "Prayer", "Ecumenism", "Catholic Education", "Relations with other Religions", "Charitable and Missionary Work" Again, I don't mean to be critical, I'm just suggesting that if the boards were orientated differently perhaps it would generate the type of discussion that would attract a broader user base. Again, good work!

Although my own focus is on the movement for greater availability of the Extraordinary Form of the Mass (the "Tridentine" form) I would be delighted if the board attracted a wider membership (and not just our small but valuable group of atheist friends) because I'm not aware of any other forum for Irish Catholics to communicate and debate. As soon as I have time, I will start some other threads on the lines you suggest. But I hope you will do your bit to make them active, and encourage others to contribute.

This would encompass discussions suitable for the original board as well as discussions of places of pilgramage that are not focused on Marian apparitions such as the Holy Land, Rome or our own Lough Derg. It would facilitate wider discussions. thanks for taking my suggestions on board!

Yes, recently, maybe because of the recent events of the SPPX, the forum had been more lively. We now have few regular members, and the massive controversy of some atheists is now gone. Yes, indeed, the Forum needs to be revamp, and classified in others threads and subjects. I already submit this idea to our dear Moderator. We are dealing with a massive subject, religion, and in order to express ourself more accordingly, a revamp might me necessary. I suggest some thread like : "news from the CC", "Application of the MP in Ireland", "ED communities", "SSPX", "The Vatican" for the news. But we could have "apologetics", "life of the Saints", "prayers request", "philosophy", and many more !

Anyone who wants to start a new thread can do so; I'm not sure how you start a new forum. Is it reserved for the moderator?
