I hear these guys (based in Clare, Sligo and Westmeath, as well as England and Scotland) specialise in officiating at marriages of re-married divorcees. So Willie Walsh of Killaloe is defending Church discipline for once.
The OMA/Old Holy Catholic Church is an off-shoot of the pre-Vatican I Old Catholics who have sunk to this level.

Pre-Vatican I? Sounds more like Pat Buckley to me.

steer well clear Alaistir unless you're divorced or in a constant state of mortal sin...then you can possibly be helped by them or so they think.

Did you ever here of the Liberal Catholic Church, Monkeyman?
It was founded in California (where else?) about 100 years ago with the purpose of giving the consolation of the Catholic sacraments to those who do not adhere to the Catholic faith.

No but it sounds about right...hold it yes I have heard of them-I think they even use the Old liturgy but I'm open to correction on that...think they might have ban-saggart aswell.

Has anyone heard of the movement that follows the Little Pebble? He's based in Australia. A friend of mine is very mixed up in it. They're building a church or something in Balladreen (I think).

Have they anything to do with the people who worshipped the giant teapot until the Government (Chinese I think) broke it on them?

How can a church be secular? That makes no sense.
My latin may be poor and based primarily on dinosaur names, but doesn't that roughly translate as the OHCC diocese of Christ King?

How can a church be secular? That's our funny terminology. When we say a parish priest is "secular" we mean that his is not a member of an order like the Franciscans or Jesuits.

Have they anything to do with the people who worshipped the giant teapot until the Government (Chinese I think) broke it on them? No they're all Catholics. My friend gets on the net and downloads the latest missives from the Little Pebble who is in contact with the one you call the VM. Apparently we're all doomed (for the umpteenth time). I was having a drink (devils brew) with him one night in the local pub (den of iniquity) and I noticed he'd unusually bought a new fancy anorak. When I saw the Lowe Alpine logo I asked if he was heading far north because they make pretty good winter clothing. He said "do you know Lowe Alpine"? I told I did and the coldest I'd been in was minus 30 degrees. He was a bit disappointed because he was expecting minus 45 degrees. The VM had told the Little Pebble that as soon as GWB invaded Iraq the Islamic hordes would sail a ship laden with nuclear bombs into New York harbor. Then then the skyscrapers would fall like dominoes (the game not the pizza). This would bring on a nuclear winter. I asked him if he had stockpiles of tinned food buried and he turned his head like a suspect in Store St. police station. He sends photocopy's of everything he downloads to a big mailing list of Catholics around the country. Look for suspicious mounds in your friends back gardens (you never know when you might be hungry) Now that I think of it I must give him a call and get the latest on the meteor heading our way (and I don't mean to the local cinema...)

I do remember Pebbles in the Flintstones. Perhaps she grew up to become a visionary.

He asked me to fix his computer once because he could'nt contact the Little Pebbels web site. So while he was making tea I corrected the address and shouted "Quick Paddy (not his real name) quick it's an urgent message from the Pebble about the meteors"
He nearly spilled the tea all over the hall.
"What is it what did he say" he shouted running into the room. "Duck"

My knowledge of how to become a priest is very limited to say the least, but don't you need to join a seminary, which are run by religious orders?
