This came from the LMSI pres this morning:

Amici & Amicae,
May as a month was moderately more busy than April so I will report what is going on and what is coming up in the next few weeks.
First of all, the Latin Mass Society of Ireland would like to amend the previous notice regarding the course for priests who wish to learn to say the extraordinary form of Mass in Latin. The course will take place between Monday 11 August and Wednesday 13 August, not between 29-31 July as previously announced The course will be given by Father John Emerson FSSP and will cost €150 (£100) - this will include full board and the cost of the course. Further details may be obtained from Proinnsias Ó Muiregáin, Áras Fatima, Brennter, Dunkineely, Co Donegal, Tel/Fax: 074-9737307 (from Northern Ireland: 00-353--74-9737307), e-mail: Ards is a Capuchin Friary and its adress is Ard Mhuire, Creeslough, Co Donegal. The LMSI is grateful to the Irish Catholic newspaper for carrying information about this and other events organised by the society. There is still plently of space left on the course. We will consider running it in other venues in Ireland if there is clearly a demand for it in these areas - we have certainly heard individual priests suggest they would be available at other times and in other regions, but at the moment, the course in the Capuchin Friary in Ards is a pilot programme.
From next month, there will be an extraordinary form Mass at 12 noon on the third Sunday of the month in Ss Peter's and Paul's Church, Paul St, Cork. The first Saturday Mass will continue in place in the same church as usual. This means that there will be two monthly Masses in Cork City from next month. At present, a monthly Mass in Batterstown, Co Meath is under consideration - more details will be posted as they emerge.
The 8th Bealach Colm Cille will take place on Saturday 21 June. Should anyone wish to join us at the last minute, I would suggest they give us advance warning that they intend to be at St Colmcille's Well, Ballycullen Road at 7.45 on Saturday morning. Mass will take place at 8 pm in St Kevin's Church, Glendalough, Co Wicklow to conclude the pilgrimage. The celebrant will be Father Gabriel Burke CC, Macroom. All are welcome. The Tochar Padraig is scheduled for July 19-20. Details are available here: www.latinmassireland.org/tochar/index.html and I would advise all who wish to walk on this to contact Vicky Nestor immediately at:
Mass will also take place at 2.30 pm in the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St Nathy, Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon on the same day. The celebrant will be Father John Loftus, CC, Belmullet. This is the fourth annual Mass in this cathedral. Naturally, the society would be very interested in hearing from anyone wishing to see this happen more regularly.
The following Sunday is the solemnity of Ss Peter and Paul. For those who will not be at the Confirmation ceremony in St Kevin's in Dublin at 10.30 which Archbishop Diarmuid Martin will preside at (conferring the sacrament of course, but presiding at the Mass), there are other options. Monsignor Michael Schmitz, Vicar General of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest will offer Mass in St Patrick's Church on the Dublin Road in Limerick at 11.15 am. Father David Jones O Praem, who is based in the Meath Diocese as a hermit, will offer Sung Mass in the Church of the Assumption, Batterstown at 8 pm. The choir will be the St Mary's Choir from Navan. In the first week in July, the first Saturday Masses will take place in Belfast and Cork as scheduled. Mass will also take place at the Holy Well in Tobarnalt outside Sligo as announced. For people based in Munster who are flexible, July is a month of opportunity. Mass will take place in Limerick on 13 July as usual; the inaugural Sunday Mass in Cork will take place on 20 July at 12 noon in Ss Peter's and Paul's; and the Tralee Mass will take place on the 4th Sunday rather than the 3rd Sunday in July, so it will happen on 27th July. I have mentioned the information regarding the Tochar Padraig in July. I may be posting further amendments later.
To cover the ground since my last message in early May, Masses have run in Cork, Limerick and Belfast on both months. In addition, there was a day of recollection in the Franciscan Friary in Rosnowlagh on 31 May; Mass took place in Batterstown on the Feast of the Sacred Heart and Requiem Mass was offered for Des Roche in Macroom in early June. Work in ongoing, but I will list the coming Masses including July's Mass in Tralee below.
