With regard to the House of Prayer we have to distinguish between those involved in it who are Satan's disciples and those (the vast majority of followers) who are merely Satan's dupes. As for Kittyandjoe - ask yourselves why so many who were once faithful followers of Christina Gallagher have become disillusioned? Ask why there are so many demands for cash, upheld with threats of hellfire and damnation? Ask why Christina Gallagher has resisted integrating the House into the wider life of the Church - remember fidelity to the Church is a sign of an authentic visionary? Ask why Archbishop Neary, who is the successor of the Apostles and the rightful leader of the Church in the Tuam archdiocese, has withheld his approval from it? I attend Mass and the Sacraments regularly - what makes you think I am Satan's dupe? Don't call me names, give me arguemnts? Read the accounts by NAMED people in IMMACULATE DECEPTION -people who were once House of Prayer disciples and learned the truth from bitter experience. Perhaps you once knew these people and shared devotions with them - why do you think they should become "Satan's disciples"? Read and judge for yourselves. God gave us minds to understand the Faith. Think for yourselves and then tell we why you think we are wrong. Think with the Church and not with Christina Gallagher and Fr McGinnity.

I don't really swallow what the Sunday World, & British tabloids print, the angels of Hell surround the Achill house of prayer, (which is now almost 25yrs) & anywere Mary appears, while Satan & his drunken Irish addicks work hard on bringing in Divorce & Gay marriges. Joe.

How is their comment racist, as distinct from extremely foolish? Joe - it is quite true that demonic activity is more pronounced around sites of genuine Marian apparitions, such as Lourdes and Knock. One form such activity takes is the promotion of false Marian apparitions in order to distract genuine believers from the real apparition, and by making people think that since some apparent Marian apparitions turn out to be fraudulent or delusional, all apparitions are frauds and delusions. Saying in advance that you will not believe something because the SUNDAY WORLD prints it is a sure way to delusion - you should examine the evidence on which its statements are based. These are the statements of named people, some associated with the House of Prayer for years, who have now decided on the basis of their own experiences which they describe that Christina Gallagher is not a genuine visionary. They have given reasons for believing she is a fake - you have given no reasons, but merely assert that she is genuine. Jesus warned us that there would be false Christs and false prophets who could deceive even the elect. He gave us the Church and its teachings to warn us against them, and encouraged us to test supposed spirits for not every spirit comes from God. God gave us our reason - use it. Look at this site. Do you really think I am working to bring in divorce and gay marriage, or that I am trying to propagate the Catholic faith and deepen readers' understanding of it? I will proclaim the Lord and take the consequences - I will not be party to the delusions propagated by Christina Gallagher which only serve to fleece the vulnerable and to allow atheists and scoffers to ridicule the Faith.

Have any of you read the 5-page article about Christina Gallagher on today's Sunday World paper? I saw what was written in Jan. and I heard that Christina was going to sue this paper, but now I see that this paper is not afraid of being sued, and she hasn't done anything about sueing. Yes! I think she shouldn't sue: the Devil's Broad-Sheet. kittyandjoe.

Why not? The expose of Christina Gallagher's numerous mansions, extortion from the faithful, and ungodly behaviour has clearly done a great deal of harm to her mission. If her mission really does represent a Divine message sent for the benefit of humanity and not a bare-faced fraud, why does she not vindicate herself and her mission in court and thereby keep people from being deterred from seeking out God's message to Christina - if she can vindicate herself, that is? BTW I wouldn't call the SUNDAY WORLD the Devil's broadsheet because it's a tabloid, not a broadsheet.

I was down at the Achill house of prayer twice & nothing was said what-ever about money, I did see a donation box in the wall outside the two doors, but nothing was said of contribution, (I go there for Friday & Saturday) next day was 15th August ok, so I rush for Knock mass, early Sunday morning, & when I get into the Cathedral on all the seats was a brown envelope & during the mass a few kind words said in relations to the said envelopes, (but no mention of who was being fleeced)
As regards the faithful who travel to the Prayer house, & they keep coming despite some of the most vile assault, by Satan & satellites, & the ever-willing anti-Catholic element in our so-called Catholic Country, I can’t condemn Christina Gallagher, I can’t condemn those who go there, but seemly you can.

Well! Well, a lot of these accusations, & this court case seemly was in 2008, (& are still on "Catholic Forom", I see) Well what was the outcome then? honestly I got no results of the outcome--- but I notice Our Lady's prayer house is still attracting the faithful "dupes" to come humbly with contrite hearts, to praise their their God, through Mary the Vergin Queen. "Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven especially those in most need of thier mercy."

Is life getting you down? Are you looking for a foolproof way to establish an income for you and yours? Would you like a guaranteed way of starting a successful business with unpaid employees? Welcome to House of Prayer Franchises the number one low cost start up, high earnings way to riches. With House of Prayer Franchises you can be trained how to make generalised vague statements and then claim they came from Your Lady/A God/Any Imaginary Friend. We will also teach you our “post event backdating” method of appearing to have foretold the future by having employees claim you saw an event before it happened which you can do after any suitable event. HOPF can supply a line of cheaply made products like tin medals, posters, holy (tap) water for the retail side of your operation and many more genuine Made In Ireland (Chinese) goods. While these products are worthless in themselves when attached to a HOP “vision” their value increases exponentially leading to profits in the super bracket. HOPF takes advantage of a ready made and psychologically conditioned market of approximately 1.1 billion Catholics spread across the globe. Many markets have open positions and no competition. Could it get any better? Unbelievably the good news doe’s not end there. Thanks to an antiquated law all profits, repeat all profits, are TAX FREE. Yes you read that correctly TAX FREE! In many cases you will have the satisfaction of knowing even non-believers will be paying your way. In many countries it is even possible to receive grants funded by the tax payers. At HOPF we call it “the payers fund the prayers” (just a little inside joke there folks) So don't just pray there (ha ha) call today for a free brochure! Even without Jim Gallagher's book 'Immaculate Deception', there is plenty of evidence of older people giving their life's savings to the House of Prayer - substantial sums of up to and over €50,000. The behaviour of Fr McGinnity is particularly bad in this regard. While the post from Falconer is from a smart alec, most of us got his point loud and clear.
Now, I've got another question. Many Medjugorje people divert criticism by challenging people to look at the fruits. Though I don't believe in Medjugorje, I acknowledge the existence of apparent fruits. I've never even seen someone pointing out the fruits of the House of Prayer on Achill other than at Christina Gallagher's property portfolio and fleet of vehicles.

I took the reference to "drunken Irish addicks" as referring to Irish opponents of the Den of Thieves in general and to SUNDAY WORLD journalists in particular, not as saying that ALL Irish people are drunks as Youngireland apparently interprets it. As such I consider it less offensive than Kittyandjoe's repeated claims that everyone who criticises the Den of Thieves is an instrument of Satan. The presence of collection boxes at the Knock Basilica for those who wish to give is in no way comparable to the extortion of large sums of money under threat of hellfire and the end of the world, as described by named victims in IMMACULATE DECEPTION. Does Archbishop Neary have seven mansions bought out of the proceeds of collection boxes, and disposed of by him to family members? Does the Parish Priest of Knock go around telling people to give him money they intended for the Third World, because he needs it more than the Third World does? I don't condemn the unfortunate victims who go there; God knows their good intentions and will reward him. I name Christina Gallagher for what she is; I point readers to the evidence; it speaks for itself. Falconer was one of the atheists who hung round this forum but have now left or been expelled, and in general his views do not represent the views of the forum. I am sorry to say, however, that everything he says in that post is fair comment. This is the problem with people like Kittyandjoe who think alleged private revelation should be treated on the same level as the Gospels; it leaves them prey to fakers, who are used by the devil to discredit real apparitions and true faith, since when the fakers are exposed unbelievers like falconer use them to unjustly mock and discredit the whole Church and present real apparitions as fake. I have been patient with Kittyandjoe because I see him/them as dupes and I hope that some sweet reason may open his/their hearts and enable him/them to see Christina Gallagher for what she really is. At the same time, my capacity for tolerating insults devoid of reasoned argument is not unlimited. Let Youngireland's complaint be your first warning.
Matthew 21:13 "It is written," He said to them, "'My house will be called a house of prayer,' but you are making it a 'den of robbers.'"

This is a case of out of sight, out of mind.
It's obviously still going on, and vulnerable people are still being exploited.

And it is still giving scandal, because a lot of people are asking why the bishops are not taking more decisive action to disown it.
