I just happened to notice that there are some criticisms on these boards of Fr. Gobbi and the MMP. I'm wondering if anybody can further expand on these? Is there concrete evidence that there are problems with the alleged private revelations associated with them?
I bring this up as I'm generally very sceptical of private revelations etc. until the Church rules favourably, but in the case of the MMP I know several priests involved here in Ireland and I would only have good things to say about them, very hard-working, orthodox men who really helped me a lot when I was first starting to really try and practice my faith.
I'm not saying this to be defensive, I'm just genuinely curious to know if there are proven problems with the messages (I haven't really read through them myself) as the priests I know who are involved are very well balanced good men and if there was a problem I'm sure that they wouldn't be knowingly following them.

I've heard of them but I'm not really familiar with them and I know very little about them.

I do recall a prediction attributed to Fr Gobbi that the Antichrist would reign between 1995 and 1998. That didn't really happen.
But I think not unlike Garabandal, Fr Gobbi's movement appealed to a generation who were alienated by the aftermath of the Council.

I remember seeing that he got some of his messages in Medjugorje, that was enough on its own to put me off. You are right about the priests, I know a good priest who is involved. The same is true concerning Medjugorje, many of the better priests are into it. The reason no doubt is that the better priests are generally Marian in outlook & there are generally rather traditional type messages especially in regard to the MMP.

I think Ranger and Eircomnet are correct about the priests who follow Father Gobbi.
