Harris. I could tell you that being a veg in no way guarantees that fauna are left in peace to live out their lives in the wild. I could go on about DDT and pesticides and a 50,000,000 rabbit kill all to ensure veggies get their dinner, but you probably know that. Your answer is fair enough harris and I respect your view. God bless As I stated before, in my case its more the way I feel about the issue than my "world Vision". I deplore violence of any sort, be it violence caused by animal rights protestors or violence towards animals.

Well harris, for you it is down to the word violence. How can i convince you that mink-farmers are not 'violent' towards the animals in their keep. Casting a net out to catch fish and dragging them aboard for them to die a 'sufficating' death would seem to me to also come under your extreme interpretation of the violent act. If so then Jesus and His fishermen Apostles are guilty as charged by you. Surely you do not think this? Your vision is understandable and I said I respect it, nay, in many ways I share it, but when it is expressed in these terms above differences become obvious.

Hi redmond, The violence I refer to is the actual ultimate extermination of the animal in question, not its treatment in captivity. Im sure the majority of mink farmers are not violent towards the animals in question whilst they are under their care. I try not to judge others (that includes the apostles) by my morality. Each person must decide for themselves after deliberation what they consider to be right, wrong or neutral on every topic. We have both decided where we stand. We have different viewpoints on this issue but can find it within ourselves to respect each others views.
