I received this from the LMSI president this morning:
Amici & Amicae,
The 8th Bealach Colm Cille walking pilgrimage will commence at St Colmcille's Well, Ballycullen Road, Dublin 24 at 8 am on Saturday, 21 June, feast of St Aloysius Gozanga, who if I am not mistaken is patron of youth. It will conclude in St Kevin's Parish Church, Glendalough, Co Wicklow with Mass in the extraordinary form at 8pm. Our thanks to Father Kevin Doran, PP, for allowing us use this church. Even non-walking (or non-driving pilgrims: logistical support is of crucial importance to the conduct of the pilgrimage) are welcome to the Mass.
Even those who have not signed up are welcome to attend. All relevant information is available at www.latinmassireland.org/bealach/index.html, but I would prefer if any undecided pilgrim let me know on at least the evening before hand (so they can contact me at this address until Thursday, at plaighleis@eircom.net until Friday evening; at 041-9887422 until Friday evening (you can leave a message) or at 01-8882238 during working hours from Monday to Thursday next week. From an organisational point of view, the more notice, the better.
More importantly, I would appeal to potential Tochar Padraig pilgrims to contact Vicky Nestor at vickynestor@gmail.com as soon as possible. All information concerning the 9th Tochar Padraig is available here: www.latinmassireland.org/tochar/index.html
All non-attenders, in particular those attending the traditional Mass in the Cathedral of the Annunciation and St Nathy, Ballaghaderreen, Co Roscommon at 2.30pm on Saturday, 21 July, are invited to join with the pilgrims in their prayers on both occasions.
In Domino & Domina,
Peadar Laighléis.
